Accessibility Statement

GovLeaders Academy serves people across public service, and our courses should work for every learner. We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA, on the Site and in the course content we create.

What we do

  • The Site: our website and courses are delivered on the LearnWorlds learning platform at govleadersacademy.com, including learn.govleadersacademy.com (the "Site"). We build our pages with clear headings, readable color contrast, text descriptions for meaningful images, keyboard navigation and layouts that work on phones and tablets, and we check new pages against WCAG 2.1 AA before publishing. We choose platform settings that support accessibility and report problems we find to the platform provider; some parts of the Site are controlled by the provider.
  • Course content: courses are written in plain language. Videos have captions and, where helpful, transcripts. Documents we provide for download are designed to work with screen readers.
  • Assessments: knowledge checks have no time limit. Final exams have a time limit; extended time is available as an accommodation.

Known limitations

  • Courses are sequential: each activity unlocks after the one before it. This is part of how completion is recorded and cannot be turned off for one learner, but we can help if a specific activity is a barrier.
  • Some third-party content we link to is outside our control.

Accommodations and alternative formats

If you need an accommodation, such as extended exam time, an alternative format for course materials, or help with a part of a course that does not work with your assistive technology, email support@govleadersacademy.com with the subject line "Accessibility request." Tell us which course and what you need. We will respond within 2 business days and work with you to find a solution. There is no charge for accommodations.
